An Oak Bay Watch – Thank You

                                                  To All Readers and Subscribers:

You must be aware by now, Oak Bay has a New Mayor and Council

The information we have provided to you directly and on our website was a result of our members’ research, attending almost all Council Meetings and many Council Committee meetings, and also the input and participation of a number of residents interested in the well-being of the Community. You are to be commended for taking the time to find out about how your Community has been governed. Your contributions also helped us distribute our information to a much wider audience.

We were grateful to those who wrote to us with questions and concerns and provided us with invaluable information. Our policy is we only provide information we can verify.

Most of Council Candidate platforms made reference to the information we have been providing. The election results indicate there is a lot of anticipation of a more acceptable direction and considerable potential for improved governance. There is no doubt that new priorities, new policies, and new initiatives will need to be undertaken: we are confident that the public‘s interest and public engagement will now be part of the equation.

We are looking forward to helping the new Council in any way we can. We will also continue to keep you informed and up to date.

Thanks again
